The eight remaining cooks have been dumped in the wilderness, forced to climb a hill and bond with nature. It’s time for them to show the judges that they can cook without the luxuries of the Master Chef kitchen. They must spend the night in the middle of nowhere and prepare a delicious camping knie flint cast iron skillet and a wooden spoon. Bri and Natasha are team captains. Red Team Bri selects James, Eddie, and Luca. Natasha Blue Team picks Jordan, Jessie, and Krissi. But Gordon is an ass and switches the team captains, causing automatic friction between Bri and Krissi. Bri chooses three rabbits as their protein, and Natasha’s team has pigeons. Continue reading

HGTV Star’s final three – Jeribai, Brooks, and Tiffany – are off to Palm Springs to design fancy shmancy hotel suites at a resort that may be called Rancho Las Plamas, which is like Rancho Relaxo for the luxury audience. Last week ended with Joe Gorga using his head as a battering ram into Joe Giudice’s voluminous gut because Joe Gorga called Teresa “scum.” This week isn’t much better. “Teresa, help your brother!” Teresa runs out of the room yelling, “Call the cops!” Someone says, “He’s biting my nuts,” elbows are being thrown, for some reason Melissa rushes over to put Joe Gorga’s hat back on his thick head. Then, the women start shrieking at each other while team builders Steve and Stephanie silently circle the room, waiting for an opportunity to introduce trust exercises. Continue reading

Project Runway is back? Project Runway is back! I had no idea because I don’t normally watch The Lifetime Network For A Certain Demographic Of Ladies. And they brought back Kate from Season 11, who I don’t really remember. Also, one of the designers is deaf so he gets a nifty sign language interpreter. As designer Karen explains, “I think it’s so awesome that Justin is the designer who’s, you know, dealing with being deaf? I can’t even imagine what that’d be like.” Thanks for that, Karen. You are an idiot. Oh, and one more thing. The winner gets something like half a million dollars worth of stuff. Continue reading

We’re down to four designers—Tiffany, Anne, Brooks, and Jeribai. David Bromstad tells the designers that their next camera challenge will be huge. They are going on The Talk, where they will perform a segment with Julie Chen and Sheryl Underwood where they teach the hosts and viewers an inventive and unconventional design tip. And, their main design challenge is also huge because the designers have three days to make over the inside of stripped down buses. They can turn the buses into any kind of space at all and are encouraged not to play it safe. Continue reading
