Project Runway Season 12, Episode 7: Shoes First

Reprinted with permission from www.hautetalk.com

Last week on Project Runway, Tim Gunn used his patented Tim Gunn Rescue™ to save Justin from elimination. This means we still have three dozen or so designers left. They assemble themselves before their spirit guide, Heidi Klum, who sends them to nirvana—the Marie Claire shoe closet. Ooh! Ahh! It is filled with joy, happiness, and heels higher than a Real Housewife on a bender. The challenge is to create a look inspired by a pair of shoes. But, the designers only get to choose their shoes if they get one question correct on a fashion history quiz. The last two shoe-less designers are Dom and Miranda, who apparently know nothing about the industry in which they work and, as punishment, are stuck with a pair of flats. Continue reading

This week’s Foundation Challenge on Face Off is inspired by the horror film Insidious. The contestants will create their own personal demons inspired by Insidious Two, which must be waaaay better than Insidious One because it’s a sequel. And in case you ever wanted to watch Insidious One, Glenn ruins the whole damned thing by explaining that in the climactic ending of the movie, “the father is shown to be possessed by a female demon,” so the contestants have two hours to turn their male models into female demons. I’m Too Old For The VMAs And So Is ‘NSync

NSYNC old group shot

It was nice of that Justin Timberlake fellow to take a break from his smooth jazz tunes to perform a song with his sad uncles. But why did he take us on a tour of the Barclays Center? Did he lose a bet with Jay-Z? And Miley Cyrus, put some pants on, please. You too, Gaga. Argle-bargle kids these days.
