Because I’m a sucker for nostalgia, I decided to give The Carrie Diaries another try. But about five minutes into the second episode, I realized why this show is a giant heaping pile of dreck – the wardrobe department sucks. It’s like they’re not even trying. There she is, a teenaged Carrie Bradshaw, yapping on an era-appropriate phone and sporting a sweater that is currently loitering on the sale rack at the Gap. Seriously? You’re the wardrobe department of a primetime television show on a major (second rate) network, and rather than, you know, do your job, you fall into the Gap!?! That’s it. I’m done. The Carrie Diaries is beyond terrible.
